Water Sewer Streets (WSS)
Featuring a water taste test between bottled and tap water. Experience a WSS big truck outside.
Arlington Art Truck – Music Cart
The Arlington Art Truck’s art installation will feature FUTURA PERCUSSION 1860, an interactive sound machine designed by Guggenheim Fellow and Baltimore artist Neil Feather which re-uses scientific and mechanical tools like switches and electromagnetic coils – all technology developed before the 1860’s.
Transportation & Urban Ag
Play the electric Scooter game and learn everything you wanted to know about riding them and other transportation vehicles available in Arlington. Create a mini micro-green urban farm to take home (only Saturday 12-2).
Solid Waste Bureau – Recycling
Play the Recycle Right and basketball waste sort countdown games. See what your yard trimmings, leaf collection and glass get recycled into. Guess how many bottles were crushed to create our jar full of crushed glass aggregate. Help create an upcycled art project. Win a reusable shopping bag.
Rethink Energy Program (AIRE)
Stop by with your energy questions, learn about Arlington’s solar and electric vehicle co-op, and find out how you can build or renovate with Arlington’s free Green Home Choice program.
Dress up in our construction area in Arlington Works Public Safety uniforms and get your adorable selfie shot.
Learn about what you can do at home to reduce runoff, improve drainage and reduce your risk of flooding. Learn about the County’s stormwater and watershed projects. Get some free gardening gloves and native plant seeds.
